History: The Original Washington Accident Books Series
The original Washington Accident Book series has been growing in popularity ever since attorney Chris Davis, founder of Davis Law Group, authored and published his first book in 2006, and then began providing books as a free public service to Washington State accident victims in 2007.
Each year thousands of people request copies of these free legal guides. Whether they ever hire an attorney or not, these accident victims are now armed with information about their legal rights.
Over time it became clear that accident victims are searching for even more information as they research their claims. In 2008, the firm began author addressing other aspects of personal injury claims. Each year more and more reports are made available for free to the public. In 2013, the offering expanded to include free reports from other reputable sources. Now the Washington Accident Books & Reports website is the most comprehensive online public law library completely dedicated to the legal rights of accident victims in Washington State.
"In an effort to try to help educate people about their basic legal rights following an accident, I offer books, reports and other information about injury claims and civil litigation as a free public service. I think that people deserve to know the truth about the insurance industry and how it works.
For more than 20 years I have been practicing law and battling with insurance companies to make sure that my clients receive fair compensation for their injuries, medical bills, lost wages and other accident-related expenses. But a lot of accident victims don’t understand how the system works and try to settle their claims on their own without the help of an attorney. I hate knowing that there are people, who have been injured by no fault of their own, that get taken advantage of by the insurance company.
Information is power. Through the Washington Accident Books & Reports website I arm people with information---so even if they do not hire an attorney they will know their legal rights and what to expect from the claims process. But most importantly, they will understand the tactics the insurance company may employ to try to delay, deny, or defend against a legitimate claim in order to decrease the settlement paid to the injury victim---which increases insurance company profits. People need to know the truth."
