In most cases in which the insurance adjuster is telling you where to take your car to get repair estimates the body shop and the insurance company have a very close working relationship. The body shop gives low estimates (and sometimes poor quality repair work) so it can get high volumes of referral work from the insurance company. This situation usually means big savings for the insurance company. But it can also mean trouble for you if you get your car back and it does not function properly or looks bad. Be careful. At the Davis Law Group we have seen terrible paint jobs, awful body work, inadequate welding, poor alignment and other problem repairs that can make the car a rolling coffin.
