$350,000 Award For Lumbar Herniated Disc | Settlement Offer $125,000

The plaintiff, age 25, was injured in a car accident.  He was t-boned at a high rate of speed.  He complained of neck and back injuries at the scene. 

A lumbar MRI showed three herniated discs in the victim's low back.  The neurosurgeon diagnosed Cauda Equina Syndrome at L4-5.  The plaintiff underwent a discectomy at L4-5.  Medical charges totaled $35,000.  He missed 3 weeks of work with wage loss of $3,000.  The plaintiff still has residual low back issues.

Last offer from the insurance company two weeks before trial was $125,000.
