$136,000 Settlement for Victim of DUI Driver

D.B. was driving with his wife and son as passengers when another car came flying around a curve, fishtailed, and hit his vehicle. When police arrived at the scene, they found alcohol and marijuana in the other driver’s car. D.B. suffered from a crushed foot, a blood clot, and neck and back pain. D.B.’s wife and son also suffered injuries in the crash.

Recovery was slow. Our client needed to undergo multiple surgeries for the severe injuries to his foot. He had to take extensive time off work, and struggled to find work that was safe for him to do.

The defendant was charged with two counts of vehicular assault for causing the accident and was sentenced to 4 ½ months in prison for her crimes.

We were able to recover $136,000 to help compensate our client for his medical bills and time off work. His wife and son were also injured in the accident.
