A 21-year-old male was heading east on Northeast 8th St in Bellevue around 1am, approaching the light at 140th Avenue NE when he left the road and struck a cement light pole, knocking it down and continuing until his Jeep crashed into a tree.

He was taken to Overlake Hospital with head injuries but had to be transferred to Harborview Medical Center. Bellevue Police suspect alcohol and speed to be factors in the crash. The accident is still under investigation and have asked anyone who has any information to contact Bellevue Police.
