A wrong-way driver caused a collision on Snake River bridge near Burbank on Friday night.Around 8:30 p.m. 46-year-old Stevie V. Sparks was driving east on Highway 12 and failed to stop, entering a construction zone, and slamming into a Mack semi truck. The truck driver, 51-year-old Donald R. Dickey was uninjured.
Sparks was taken to Kennewick General Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He is reported to be in fair condition.
Washington State Patrol believe that alcohol and/or drugs may be a factor in the crash but it is still under investigation.
