A woman was injured in a collision near Leavenworth on Wednesday.

Around 5:30 a.m. while driving eastbound on Highway 2, 21-year-old Bernadette R. Paul collided with a westbound semi truck.

Paul was seriously injured and taken to Harborview Medical Center. The semi truck driver, 57-year-old Vasily Konevitchenko, complained of a sore back but refused medical treatment.

Washington State Patrol is investigating the accident and have not released additional details as to what caused it.
