A woman was injured in a collision at the Ballard Locks on Tuesday.

Early Tuesday morning a woman crashed into the metal gates at the Ballard Locks in Seattle. Firefighters had to remove the woman, who was in her late teen’s or early 20’s, from the car due to the extensive damage.

The woman, who looked to be in her late teens or early 20s was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

The cause of the accident wasn’t reported and it is still under investigation by Seattle Police Department.
