SEATTLE - An accident on Elliott Avenue West north of Olympic Sculpture Park caused traffic to back up for a couple hours Friday morning. Seattle fire and rescue workers tried to remove a woman from a car that jumped a sidewalk, sideswiped a building and crashed into a tree. She was later removed by the "jaws-of-life". Apparently a man on the sidewalk outside a corner delicatessen had to jump into the street to avoid being hit when the car left the street and then smashed into a tree.
