Woman Causes Car Accident From Distracting GPS System

A woman caused a three-vehicle wreck while she was paying attention to her car’s GPS system.

A 20-year-old woman was driving a Jeep Cherokee when her GPS told her to make a left turn lane.

No one was injured in the accident nor taken to the hospital. There were only four children in the bus at the time.

At the same time, another driver was traveling in a Ford Ranger in the left lane of the street and she collided with the vehicle. The Ford rolled back about 20 feet into the bus. There was about $100 worth of damage done to the bus.

The Jeep, however received about $10,000 in damages and the Ford received about $5,000 in damages.

The young woman failed to yield the right of the way to the oncoming vehicle, which caused the accident. She has not been cited yet.
