While driving on Eglon Road in Kingston, a woman lost control of car and crashed into a utility pole. The force of the collision broke the pole and down wires, trapping her in her vehicle.
North Kitsap Fire and Rescue used hydraulic extraction equipment to free the woman and she was immediately airlifted to Harborview Medical Center where was admitted to the trauma intensive care unit.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office.
