Stater and local police around Washington state will be cracking down on seat belt use starting this week. According to The Washington State Traffic Safety Commission law enforcement in King County, including the local detail of the Washington State Patrol, will participate in the effort to catch those who ignor our state' seat belt laws.
In Washington, officers can stop drivers if they see them driving without a seat belt fastened. During a similar push last October, some 3,800 seat belt and car-seat citations were issued statewide.
