Washington Man Dies In Memorial Weekend Boat Crash

In McLennan County, Washington, 63-year-old man was pronounced dead after a boating accident that took place over Memorial Day weekend.
The accident happened on Saturday, May 29th, at about 4 p.m. on the Brazos River north of Washington Lane in the Chalk Bluff area. There were at least three people on the airboat when the driver reportedly slumped over the wheel causing the boat to crash into nearby trees.
A male witness in the river called for help and the game wardens and McLennan County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the incident.
The 63-year-old male, Billy Ray Morgan, was later pronounced dead. Game wardens will continue to investigate what caused the accident in the first place.
