Vehicle Crosses Centerline Crashes Head-on With Pickup Truck | Seattle Personal Injury Attorney

A 48 year old man named John was a front-seat passenger in a pickup truck when a car driven by Ellen crossed the center line and struck the truck head-on. It is believed that Ellen was either texting while driving or under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

John suffered a fractured sternum and three herniated disks at L2-5, resulting in severe, chronic low back pain. He underwent 20 injections over a four-year period for pain management. Before the accident John was a dockworker and forklift operator earning about $43,000 annually.  Since the accident he is unable to return to work.

John and his wife sued Ellen for negligent driving.  A jury awarded $630,500 for past medical, future medical, Lost wages, and pain and suffering damages.
