Two women were injured in a two-car collision in Pacific on Sunday night.

The driver of the first car was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the second car was taken to Auburn Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

According to Valley Regional Fire Authorities, the accident took place on West Valley Highway East, just north of Jovita Boulevard in Pacific on Sunday around 8:30 p.m.

The driver of the first vehicle was still in her car when firefighters arrived but the driver of the second vehicle had managed to get out of her car on her own.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
