A two-car collision on State Route 101 just outside of Quinault resulted in three people being taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital Sunday night. According to reports, a 48-year-old man from Tumwater was headed northbound on SR 101 with two passengers, a 68-year-old man from Gig Harbor and a 35-year-old man from Lakebay, in a 1998 Dodge Caravan when he attempted to make a U-Turn and crashed into an oncoming Ford F-250 that was passing another vehicle in the southbound lane.
The driver of the Caravan suffered a chest injury in the accident and was transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital, along with his two passengers. The Caravan was totaled in the accident and the F-250 was towed by the owner. Reports indicate that the driver of the F-250 was not injured in the crash.
