A person driving a Black Buick struck a utility pole early Sunday morning causing severe injuries to the two occupants. The accident occurred at Southwest Charleston St and 47th Ave SW in West Seattle. Driver and passenger were taken to Harborview Medical Center with lifethreatening injuries.
The impact of the collision knocked over the utility pole, causing a power outage that affected over 2,000 Seattle City Light customers until they were able to restore it later in the afternoon.
Authorities are stilll investigating the cause of the crash.
