Two people were injured in a collision near Zillah on Tuesday morning.Around 5:30 a.m. 26-year-old Esperanza Guizar Sanchez was driving on Beam Road when her car veered and crashed into a tree, causing it to roll onto its top.
Guizar Sanchez and her 3-year-old passenger were both injured and taken by ambulance to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. She was later airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.
Washington State Patrol blamed inattention as the cause of the crash.
