Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash on State Route 3, Saturday evening around 6:30.

John Curtis Haynes and his passenger, Amy Jane Farrell were flown to Harborview Medical Center. Haynes' injuries were unspecified and Farrell suffered from a critical head injury.

According to Washington State Patrol, Haynes was driving his 2003 Harley Davidson north on State Route 3, about one mile south of Allyn when he struck a deer and lost control of his motorcycle.

The motorcycle slid about 25 yards causing both Haynes and Farrell to be thrown onto the road.

Both were wearing helmets. Alcohol was thought to have been involved in this crash.
