Two Car Accident Injuries took place early Friday morning in Montlake. 

Both the driver and passenger were taken to Harborview Medical Center where their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. 

According to Seattle Police, the car was speeding just after 2 a.m. when the driver lost control causing the car to jump a curb, hit a street sign and roll into a utility pole.  The accident happened on 24th Avenue East and East Newton Street. 

The passenger was able to get out of the car, but the Seattle Fire Department had to free the driver. 

The driver was cited for reckless driving along with several other violations.
