Two people were injured in a collision near Toppenish on Saturday night.Around 10:45 p.m. Guillermo Rivas was driving on Meyers Road when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a vehicle carrying two other people. Mayra A. Hurtado, 28, and Jose L. Ramirez Soto, 30, were headed westbound on Highway 22 when they were struck by Rivas.
Hurtado and Ramirez Soto were taken to Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center for treatment. Washington State Patrol cited Rivas for driving under the influence.
