Two people were injured in a car accident around seven o'clock Monday evening on Highway 9 in Maltby.
The passenger suffered from head injuries and the driver had minor injuries. Both people were taken to a Seattle Hospital by medics.
According to Snohomish County Fire District 7 Battalion Chief Ralph Provenanzo, the accident took place when the injured party's car rear-ended a pick-up truck. They were driving southbound on Highway 9 near 172nd Street SE when they hit the back of the pick-up truck.
