Two Injured in Highway 18 Head-on Crash | Seattle Personal Injury Lawyer

A head-on collision on Highway 18  injured two people around 3:20 a.m. Thursday in Auburn.

The accident took place on Peasley Canyon Road in Auburn when the driver of a Toyota, which had travelled nearly a mile and a half in the wrong direction, hit a Subaru.

The driver of the Subaru was trapped in his car for a half hour until firefighters could free him.  He was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.

The driver of the Toyota was taken to Auburn Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.

Alcohol is thought to have been a factor in the crash and the driver who caused the crash is under investigation for vehicular assault.

In Washington State, the penalty for a first-time DUI conviction with a BAC between .08 and .15 is one day to one year in jail, $350-5,000 in fines, a 90-day license suspension and one year of an ignition interlock device.
