Late Wednesday evening, while driving on Centralia Alpha Road in Chehalis, two people were injured after their vehicle went airborne off the roadway.

The driver, Riley R. Jones, and his passenger Ashley R. Dour, were both hospitalized at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with head and chest injuries.

According to Washington State Patrol, Jones was driving under influence when his Dodge Intrepid slid 200 feet into a ditch before being sent airbonre after hitting two driveways. The car came to a stop after hitting some trees.

Washington State Drunk Driving Law

A person is guilty of driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or any drug if the person drives a vehicle within this state:
(a) And the person has, within two hours after driving, an alcohol concentration of 0.08 or higher as shown by analysis of the person's breath or blood
(b) While the person is under the influence of or affected by intoxicating liquor or any drug
(c) While the person is under the combined influence of or affected by intoxicating liquor and any drug. See RCW 46.61.502 for more information.
