Two Collisions on SR-167 Caused a 5 Mile Backup for Morning Commuters

morning car accident on SR 167
This morning there were two accidents on SR 167 heading northbound that caused miles of backups, heading into Renton.

The first accident occurred around 5 am this morning in Kent. A car ended up in trees.

Traffic began as drivers slowed due to distraction from the flashing lights.

Just a few minutes, another collision on SR 167 occurred right before the I-405 ramp. The accident blocked the center lane resulting in a sudden backup.

The vehicles were quickly moved to the side but the backup reached about five miles during the morning commute.
