Two-Car Collision in Richland Hospitalizes Yakima Man
A Yakima man was seriously injured after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed on Interstate 182 in Richland Monday morning. The driver, identified as 34-year-old Brian McCloud of Yakima, was headed eastbound on I-182 and attempted to change lanes when he struck the front end of a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, causing him to roll over the center median and end up in the westbound lane.
McCloud was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, where hospital officials say he is listed in critical condition. The driver of the Chevrolet Cruze, 38-year-old Chad Riley of Benton City, was not injured in the accident. Police reported that the cause of the accident was McCloud’s inattention and improper lane change.
