Early Saturday morning a trooper was injured when his parked patrol car was struck by an SUV on Highway 522 near 195th street in Marysville.

A Toyota RAV4 was traveling east on Highway 522 when it crossed the median and crashed into the parked trooper's car.

The 34-year-old trooper was taken to Evergreen Hospital for treatment. The other driver, a 22-year-old, was unhurt. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.

The cause of the collision is still being investigate and no citations have yet been filed.
