Trooper injured after patrol car hit in Marysville

Early Saturday morning a trooper was injured when his parked patrol car was struck by an SUV on Highway 522 near 195th street in Marysville.

A Toyota RAV4 was traveling east on Highway 522 when it crossed the median and crashed into the parked trooper's car.

The 34-year-old trooper was taken to Evergreen Hospital for treatment. The other driver, a 22-year-old, was unhurt. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the collision.

The cause of the collision is still being investigate and no citations have yet been filed.
