Transit bus hits pole in Spanaway

Around 7:30am on Monday morning, a Pierce County bus ran into a utility pole at 168th Street East and 18th Avenue East in Spanaway. The cause is unknown but Central Pierce Fir and Rescue officials suspected the driver suffered from a minor medical problem at the time of collision. None of the passengers were injured but they were trapped by a dangling power line for some time and had to wait for authorities to cut it down.
