 A 21 year-old Rochester man was critically injured in a two-car accident Friday in south Thurston County.

Tommy E. Herrell was driving his Pontiac Firebird south on Case Road when he reached a sharp curve in the road, crossed the center line, and hit a Honda Accord traveling north. The Washington State Patrol reported that Herrell was driving too fast. He was flown by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The other driver, Pamela J. Parker, 47, of Tenino, and two children, ages 3 and 6, suffered minor cuts and scrapes.

Drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash and all parties involved were wearing seat belts.
