A Ford pickup was stopped on Bald Hill Road about 2 miles south of Yelm, waiting to turn left onto 128th Avenue when it was rear-ended by a small car. The force of the impact pushed the truck into the oncoming lanes where it was struck by another vehicle causing it to rollover.

The driver of the pickup was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries, two juvenile passengers in the vehicle were taken to Providence St. Peter's Hospital in Olympia with minor injuries.

The driver who struck the pickup was cited for second-degree negligent driving.
