On Tuesday afternoon around 4:20 pm a man, who authorities believed to be intoxicated, backed his SUV through a glass and metal wall of a business, injuring three people including a 6-year-old boy.

Before the crash, the suspect had entered Cruise America RV in South Everett and witnesses claimed that 26-year-old Bellevue man was acting oddly. When he got back into his SUV, he drove it in reverse crashing into the store and continuing 20 feet before hitting a wall.

A woman, her son and a store employee were caught in the wreckage. The woman was pinned between the wall and a Coke machine and her son was forced under the SUV. Both of them sustained significant injuries. The mother was taken to Harborview Medical Center and underwenst surgery to repair her arm, the boy suffered facial injuries but was not admitted to the hospital. The employee was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

After the collision, the driver put the SUV in drive and fled the scene, leaving significant tire marks. A witness was able to provide the license plate number and authorities apprehended the suspect two miles away near a Taco Bell. He was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault and hit-and-run ad booked into Snohomish County Jail.
