Three people were injured in a head-on collision in Ephrata on Tuesday.While driving westbound on Route 28, 67-year-old Patsy A. Alvarez failed to yield the right of way while attempting to make a left turn and collided with a pickup truck. The collision caused the pickup truck, driven by 29-year-old Kyle R. Baselt to crash into a tree.
Alvarex was taken to Columbia Basin Hospital for treatment of abdominal injuries and facial abrasions. Baselt and his 36-year-old passenger Anjannette Million were also taken to Columbia Basin Hospital for various injuries.
Washington State Patrol is investigating the accident and will most likely charge Alvarez with failure to yield.
