A man opened his door, while getting dressed, like he does every morning, when three dogs came into his house and entered his bedroom. "Out of the corner of my eye in my bedroom, (what I see) are these two strange dogs that I had never seen before," he said.
The naked man did all he could to get the dogs out of his house.
"And so the only thing I could think of was to get aggressive myself and just waving my arms to make myself look big," said the victim.
The man called 911 immediately.
"I think there would have been deaths the way these dogs were acting. It wasn't like you had to do anything to them to get them to lunge at you," he said.
Before officers arrived, he headed down his driveway to warn a neighbor when he was knocked down by the dogs.
"I wanted to turn and run, but I knew that was bad, turning my back on them. And it was a fighting retreat with me swatting," he said.
Two
pit bulls and a black Labrador attack him severely, puncturing nine wounds before he made it back inside his home.
"Blood was dripping all around the floor," he said.
The man claims the dogs belong to a neighbor who just moved in down the street. Animal control took the dogs into custody. The county’s policy states that dogs are to be quarantined for up to 10 days after an attack. However, the owner can petition to have the dogs severe the petition inside their home.
"We love to garden, and now I don't feel safe coming out here if they're going to be allowed to come back there," he said. "If they broke out once, they could do it again."
Under county policy, each day a dog is quarantined costs the owner $40. If the three dogs stay for the full 10 days, their owners will have to pay $1,200 to reclaim them.
