Three Car Collision Proves Fatal in Edmonds | Seattle Accident Attorney

A man died in a three car crash Tuesday around 9:30 a.m. in Edmonds.

The first man, an Edmonds resident and the driver of the second vehicle, also from Edmonds, were taken to Harborview Medical Center, where the first driver later died from his injuries. The driver of the third vehicle received minor injuries.

The first man had stopped his van at the traffic light on eastbound 220th Street SW at 76th Avenue west. When he was waiting at the light, a pickup heading eastbound smashed into his van, causing it to hit the pickup in front of him.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), in the United States, an estimated 16,626 people died in car accidents between January and June of 2009.
