Texting While Driving Causes Serious Injury

February 12, 2011 - A vehicle traveling on State Route 7 crossed the centerline and collided with a semi-trailer causing serious injuries. The 21-year-old driver of a Ford Mustang was allegedly reported to have been texting while driving.

The car drove underneath the semi-trailer causing a severe impact which caused the left wheel of the Mustang to separate and strike another vehicle that was traveling southbound on State Route 7.

The driver of the mustang was transported to Madigan Army Medical Center by ambulance. The driver of the semi was uninjured.
