According to police, a couple was approaching the D Street Bridge in Tacoma when a Ford Thunderbird ran a red light and collided with their vehicle, sending it over the embankment and down the hill.

The couple was able to get out of the vehicle and the woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
