A Washington State Trooper was injured in a car accident on I-405 near Bothell Wednesday night.
Trooper Joshua Jackson, a Lake Stevens resident was transported to Harborview Medical Center with back and neck pain.
Jackson had his lights on and was parked at the scene of an earlier accident on the northbound shoulder of I-405 when his patrol car was hit from behind.
The woman who struck the patrol car, a Lynwood resident, was also taken to Harborview Medical Center as an extra precaution.
Rain and speed are thought to be factors in the crash.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Commission, speed is a factor in 15 percent of all fatal crashes and driving too fast for conditions is a factor in 18 percent of fatal crashes.
