The accident on Highway 3 occurred at 2:55 p.m. when a 45-year-old Belfair man who was driving south crossed into the oncoming lane, hitting two other cars.
According to Washington State Patrol, the man's GMC Jimmy crossed the center line and hit a Toyota Prius and a Buick LeSabre.
South Kitsap Fire and Rescue used the jaws of life to extract the driver’s of the Prius. The 65-year-old Silverdale woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, and the 59-year-old male driver from Silverdale was taken to Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma.
The driver suspected of causing the accident was taken to Harrison Medical Center with chest and internal injuries, where he was questioned State Patrol.
The 70-year-old driver of the Buick refused treatment at the scene, and his 75-year-old female passenger was taken to Harrison Medical Center with head and neck injuries.
