Sound Transit Train Collides with Car in South Seattle

A Sound Transit Train Collision occurred Wednesday afternoon in the Beacon Hill Neighborhood of South Seattle.

Fire crews responded to the scene of the accident around 3:30 p.m. One person was taken to Harborview Medical Center as a precaution.

The accident occurred when the car was hit by a Sound Transit Train going southbound, when making an illegal left turn against a red light at South Kenyon Street.

The southbound lanes of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South were blocked at South Kenyon Street, but the train was back up and running by 4:20 that same day.
