A semi truck driver appeared to have fallen asleep after his truck was found in the Duwamish River last night. A good Samaritan jumped into the water and rescued the driver after spotting the
truck in the water.
"I noticed him just trying to bang out the skylight and (I) just dove in," said Jereme Lane.
It took hours before the
semi truck was pulled out of the river.
The driver of the semi truck was not seriously injured.
The Washington Department of Ecology was concerned about diesel spilling into the water, thankfully no diesel was released.
The crash is being investigated by Washington State Patrol.
