Seattle-area Hero Dies Trying To Help Victims of a Wrong-way Car Accident

Outcome: Seattle-area man dead

A wrong way driver triggered a crash on Highway 58 near Bakersfield, Calif.  Renton, WA resident Steven McDaniel made his way through the wreckage and flames and pulled accident victims to safety.  But another speeding vehicle, a Chevy S-10 pickup, crashed into the scene hitting the disabled vehicles and killing McDaniel.  The other accident victims survived.  The wrong way driver who caused the crash may face charges.
