A Seattle Police Department parking enforcement officer was injured by a car while driving her motor scooter Saturday morning around nine in the Belltown neighborhood of downtown Seattle.

The officer was transported to Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries.

The officer was driving along Fourth Avenue across Blanchard Street on a green light when she was struck by a man driving east along Blanchard in a 1996 Geo Metro.

The driver of the Geo Metro was cited for failure to stop at a red light.
