A Seattle man driving a motorcycle on a road in Pierce County died Saturday after he hit a SUV on state Route 7 (Pacific Hightway).
He was driving a 2004 Honda ST 1300 on 529th Street when he tried to pass the SUV, a 2001 Toyota 4Runner, in the left lane. He was wearing his helmet.
A young woman from Kent was driving the SUV and was not injured.
The motorcycle was totaled in the accident. The SUV had about $4,000 in damages and was released to the Kent woman.
