SEATTLE -- Three people were injured after a car slammed into a tree in Seattle early Tuesday morning. Apparently a car was speeding on Lake Washington Boulevard, near South Horton Street, near the Stan Sayers Memorial Park when it crashed into a tree. When rescue workers arrived they found the front seat passenger trapped inside with a broken leg. He was freed and taken to Harborview Medical Center. The driver and his passenger tried to flee the scene. Both had been drinking. Alcohol appears to be a factor in this car crash.
