According to a survey of drivers and road rage in 25 major metropolitan areas taken by national auto club AutoVantage, Seattle drivers are the nation's third-most courteous group on roads and highways. Seattle citizens rank behind the more courteous drivers in Pittsburgh and Portland, Ore.
This was survey's third year and the secon year that Seattle drivers ranked third in the country for their courtesy. According to the survey results the nation's meanest drivers are in Miami, followed by Boston and New York City.
People who took the survey said they were put off by drivers talking on cell phones and drivers who eat, drink, send text messages and answer e-mail when driving.
