A Poulsbo resident suffered from rollover car accident injuries in Silverdale Friday.

The man was taken to Harrison Medical Center in Silverdale but was later airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.

The accident took place Friday around 3:20 in the afternoon when a 2003 Kia Sorrento left the roadway, hit a tree and rolled several times finally stopping on the car's right side.

Emergency crews from Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue had to cut away the top of the car to get the driver out.

He had his dog in the car with him. The dog was taken to Kitsap Humane Society to receive treatment.

The fire department from Kitsap-Bangor Naval Base also provided aid in this accident.
