A 55-year-old Poulsbo man was hit by a car while trying to cross the Highway 3 on-ramp in Central Kitsap Monday afternoon. A 70-year-old man was entering the northbound on Highway 3 near Trigger Avenue when he struck the pedestrian.
The victim suffered neck and shoulder injuries and was taken to Harrison Medical Center. The driver was uninjured.
The Highway 3 on-ramp was blocked for 30 minutes while Troopers investigated the scene.
