Police Seeking Witnesses To Seattle Motorcycle Crash

SEATTLE - The Seattle Police are asking for the help of the general public with respect to their accident investigation of an Aug. 23 motorcycle crash in North Seattle.

Apparently a assing motorist came upon the motorcycle and its driver lying in the street near the 10700 block of Lake City Way NE at about 8:40 p.m.  The motorist called 911.  The officers that arrived at the scene were unable to locate anyone who actually saw the motorcycle accident. 

Here are the facts that are known:
It was a black-and-green chopper-style motorcycle;
It was driven by a 58-year-old man;
It was headed north on Lake City Way NE;
The driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center.

The driver does not know if he was involved in a collision with another vehicle or if he crashed on his own.

Anyone who saw anything or knows anything about the circumstances surrounding this collision, is asked to call Seattle police immediately.  Anonymous tips and information also can be phoned in through Crimestoppers of Puget Sound at (206) 343-2020.
