A Seattle police officer and another driver were injured early Monday in a collision in the 400 block of Denny Way, police reported. Both were taken to Harborview Medical Center with possible neck and back injuries, none considered life threatening, police said. The accident happened at about 1:15 a.m.
The patrol officer had activated his emergency lights and was headed to back up another officer in an urgent situation. He apparently lost control while turning from Broad Street onto Denny Way. He collided with an oncoming pickup and both cars slid into an empty Saturn sedan parked at a convenience store, police reported.
