A pedestrian was seriously injured by a bicyclist in the Beacon Hill Neighborhood of Seattle Tuesday evening.

The pedestrian was taken to Harborview Medical Center with possible life threatening head injuries.

The accident took place around 4:45 p.m. at Beacon Avenue south and South College Street. The bicyclist was travelling north on Beacon Avenue and the pedestrian was crossing Beacon Avenue near College Street when he was hit.

The bicyclist was unable to slow down and stop causing him to hit the pedestrian. His injuries are no longer considered life-threatening.

Drugs and alcohol were ruled out as factors in this crash.
